Lobos and Anime

I'm hanging out at LA Anime Expo today and I've spent a lot of time in line. One line that was totally worth it was the line leading to the Lobos food truck, where I got the Big Lobo burger...

Two juicy 1/4-pound patties, loaded with real cheese, a generous portion of crisp bacon, a fresh fried egg, and a dollop and a half of guacamole. It's a serious burger, great for that convention lunch break when you need something hearty before your next panel.

Tequila Arette on the 4th

Happy Independence Day! I'm with friends in San Diego, and our host is treating us to a pre-grill drink.

We're having Tequila Arette Añejo two ways: a short shot and a cocktail with Pelligrino's blood orange, sime syrup, and bitters. The tequila solo is woody, smooth, and very mildly sweet, and the cocktail is perfect for a sunny back yard.
